Hi there!
My name is Deirdre and I am passionate about the way that media can influence and inspire a group to strive for a common goal. I am a video producer and editor from Durham, North Carolina and from the time I could hold a camera, I had a natural passion for visual storytelling. My family jokingly called me "Click" on family vacations from all the photos I would take along the way. At the early age of 14, I started working as a member of the Durham Bulls Minor League Baseball broadcast crew and fused my love of sports with my love of visual storytelling. From there, this love became a career. In 2019, I worked as a Video Production Intern with the 2019 World Series Champions, the Washington Nationals. From my work during this pivotal year, I was one of two selected as winners of the Information Display &Entertainment Association's Inspire the Passion Award. The award honors outstanding students/interns who are a part of the next generation of game presentation professionals. Along the way, I was fortunate enough to travel the world. Embarking on Semester at Sea, I marveled not only at places, but at the people I met along the way. It was incredibly impactful to see how persistent the human spirit can be in the face of a desperate situation. It has become my mission to share that spirit with the world and do what I am able to ignite that light both locally and globally.
